All that has to have happen for you to get email like this is be in some one else's address book. especially if they were a member of grouply, as then grouply.com had access to each and every grouply members address books on line
I never keep an address book for that reason I keep emails I need to in a notepad txt file and copy and paste when I need to.
SO much safer. a pain in the patutti but helps keep down span and virus

I'm going to join this discussion because today I received an e-mail from myself advertising Viagra. I didn't join Grouply, didn't give anyone my password and have no idea how they do this but you can bet I will never use their services. In fact, I only recently joined any Yahoo Groups and never had this problem before I did that. Not that I haven't received spam in the past because I have but never from myself! Does this mean that they now have access to my address book?
