I am interested in reducing my charging time on the generator to as little
as possible. I have added solar panels which will augment and can reduce the
charging time but not do it all. I have a 123 Watt panel and run it through
a solar regulator. Today I am expecting a Progressive Dynamic
converter/charger and am planning on replacing the single phase Parallax
Converter/charger. I am considering running 6 gage wiring directly from the
converter/charger directly to the battery. While I would still have
significant voltage drop from the battery to the control panel my charging
time would be reduced, I think.
Please let me know if you think I should carry out this planned
installation.
