You'll get lots of advice but you asked two specific question
concerning driving comfort and reliability.
I'd say yes to both. Compared to other motorhomes, it is nimble and
responsive. That said, it is not a car. You'll find posters here who
consider the stock suspension "unsafe." The best way to determine your
personal comfort is to take one on a test drive.
Regarding reliability, as another first time motorhome owner my biggest
adjustment was that this is not a Japanese car that you bring in for
oil changes, and then maybe new brake pads at 100K miles. You will be
making repairs. You will be bringing it back to the shop for warranty
work. This is not a View/Navion thing, this is a motorhome thing. On
the plus side, if you're handy at all, most repairs are pretty easy.
Aside from a couple of early issues that have been resolved, the
Sprinter chassis has proven to be quite reliable.
I am going to differ a bit with the Honorable Yankee Fan from New York
in that I don't think CCC is that much of a factor with the newer
View/Navions (with the earlier View/Navions the CCC is marginal--
virtually everyone driving is at the maximum GVWR). Unless you have
certain needs (e.g. pulling a heavy trailer/toad) you should be fine.
Just don't be a packrat, and be aware that after you've packed all the
bodies in, you can only bring a few hundred more pounds of "stuff."
