so many that never joined grouply are getting the bunches of spam, . once grouply.com had access to the yahoo account of a member. they also had access to the members Yahoo email and thus the address book .
That's how all these folks are getting email that did not join grouply.
And the wheels keep turning lol Smell the rubber burning giggle

I have more than a few concerns...
"Grouply" has earned 1.3 millon dollars since they started, if they
are a free service than WHO is paying them and for What? are they
selling the addresses...
Phishing and spam are based on sending off group mailings and seeing
who will bite to the bait that they can reel in....I do not trust
anyone who wants/needs ID's and passwords. I do not trust anyone who
wants to read my mail, apply their filters and allow me to see only
what makes it through their "filter". And I wonder how many of the
"Grouply" posts are actually making it through the filters. I am sure
they are also gathering the addy's of others who do the posting.
Group owners can close the membership list, so only moderators have
access to the list. But everyone's addy is embedded in the messages.
And how do we know that they are not embedding trojan, viruses and
adware in the messages....
Call me paranoid, but too many groups are getting shut down
unexpectantly, the spam is increasing and I don't trust folks who make
millons giving away stuff, free designs or services.
