Has anyone answered the question as to where it is located, and can it be cleaned with carb/choke spray cleaner?bill in PAMarty,
I don't believe there's any need to panic on this EGR thing. I did
have mine replaced today, but in the 6 or so weeks it was on order, it
did not leave me anywhere. The failure-mode scenario is that at random
times, it will just go into a low-power mode. Not at all like a full
Limp Home deal but I usually noticed that when I tried to accelerate,
nothing happened! I'd check the ScanGuage and see that the Manifold
Pressure (MAP) had dropped to just over ambient air pressure usually
topping at 18 PSI or so....
Just one man's experience, but I'm sure glad to have the new valve to
take the question mark out of the picture! [:D]
