I have three embroidery machines, an Elna Xquisite, a Janome 11000, and an old Ellure that they will pry from my cold dead hands!
Question: I use the good stuff ( 8.50 - 10.00 a yard) fabric.I do not wash the fabric before preparing it to use. I iron it, spray sizing on it, use various stabilizers for embroidering including, the filmy stuff, the easy tear stuff, and even the stabilizer for clothing. I do not stretch the fabric while putting it in the hoop. I hoop it correctly, easing it in, or walking it in, whichever the wording is. My problem: no matter what machine I am using I still get the final outline of the embroidery (say black to finish it) way outside the pattern. I use good embroideries, Dakota, Amazing Design, BFC, and others like this. Can anyone suggest a different thing for me to do? I do a lot of baby quilts with embroidery, and handbags for clients. Sometimes I have to do the design 3 or 4 times before it comes close enough for me to 'fudge' the outline.
I do appreciate any help, and thank you all very much.
Blessings,
Connie from NC
