Hi Carolyn,
When I realized last night I hadn't made those lines long stitches I
couldn't believe it! I'm sorry you had to pick them all out of your towel
:) Hopefully I will never make that mistake again. I know I wasn't up to
par yesterday and I'm going to attribute it to that. Haha
I'll have to check my directions - I thought I had put in about removing
basting stitches as you go along. I'll double check and make sure it's
there.
Sure - would love to see a pic - it will show others how it looks stitched
too.
Thanks!

Good morning Suz,
I did finish the split dogwood last night and it turned out beautiful.
Absolutely no problems with getting it aligned.
Yes I must admit getting out those "tiny" casting stitches indeed was quite
a challenge, especially as I did my dogwood on a towel. I never hesitate
putting your designs straight on a garment or towel. Never had to test them
before, saw no reason to now. I see that you will be changing the length,
so will eradicate that one small problem.
My only though is an you may have already addressed this. If you are doing
the basting color in a dark thread, once you have the second part of the
design securely in place, do remove them as in this example white was going
to be covering them and there is a possibility they may show through.
As I said before I have always shied away from multi hooping, your method
works very well. Let me know if you wish me to post a picture.

I just realized that I don't think I changed the *basting lines* on this
design to actual basting lines. Darn.... I will do that in the morning and
reconvert and post it again. If you're just doing this as a test, it really
doesn't matter, but if you want to put the dogwood on something getting out
those tiny basting stitches would be horrible! I've been under the weather
yesterday and today, so please forgive me. I'm in that *maybe I'm coming
down with something state* Not really sick, but definitely not very sharp.
Probably my sinuses as we've been having real damp weather. So tonight
isn't a good time for me to revise the design (LOL) - I will do so in the
morning and let you know when you can re-download it.
I also didn't enclose a picture of what the dogwood should look like (duh)
It's the 6th design in this set:

I've read all your messages about the splitting and will re-read them again.
I will definitely put info about the size of fabric to use!!!! That was
something that didn't even occur to me and I can see where it would really
be useful. I will also look at putting a horizontal and vertical basting
(with real basting stitches) line. Someone mentioned putting an outline -
I'm not quite sure how that is meant, but I will re-read the post.
Thanks everyone!!! One of the hardest thing I think is to write good
instructions. You are writing about something that you have created so you
know exactly what you mean. It is often hard to read it objectively and
notice what you're leaving out!
